NAAMA Auxiliary Helps Children with Cancer in Egypt
In keeping up with the mission and traditions of NAAMA’s Auxiliary Chapter. The Auxiliary led several humanitarian initiatives and fundraising events in support of NAAMA’s humanitarian and charitable mission.
During the Alexandria Convention this summer, NAAMA’s Auxiliary visited the Hematology and Oncology Unit at Alexandria’s University Children Hospital. Auxiliary members met with hospital administrators as well as patients and their families.
During NAAMA’s Annual meeting in Washington D.C. the Auxiliary conducted a fundraising event and voted to commit $5000 dollars for the Egyptian Pediatric Oncology Fund initiated by the Egypt Liaison Committee.
Previous projects conducted by NAAMA’s Auxiliary included the purchase of wheel chairs for children with brain injuries at the Red Crescent Children Hospital in Aleppo, Syria in 2007 and the purchasing of sewing machines for an orphanage in Amman, Jordan in 2006.
